CHAPTER-11

THE LAST DAYS OF THE CASE???

It was 10 June 2013, today. About 1 month 20 days have been passed by the friends solving this case. Thus, they have earned the highest time for anyone to solve this case. It had been more than 3 months 20 days since Rogers was missing. 

Where was Rogers? No idea about that!

Rogers' family didn't reach the media till now and that made the case more interesting. 

Therefore, the government gave Peter and Harry 10 days more to solve this case lest the case should be closed for good. As a consequence, Rogers and his family would be considered dead.

Peter knew something that no one knew instead of Harry. London was waiting for a huge massacre by a terrorist group.

"What could be done in 10 days?", said Harry in frustration.

"Everything, Rupert, Everything!", said Peter.

"How?"

"This is all a plan, Rupert"

"I didn't understand", said Harry in confusion.

"See Rupert, I am assured that Rogers is neither missing nor is he kidnapped"

"How can you say that?"

"I don't know but all the investigation till now tells us that he is probably missing."

"I am not able to detect you. You are saying that he is not missing and at the same time you are saying that he is missing. Confusing, no?", said Harry in a totally confused manner.

"That's the play, Rupert. This was my plan to officially announce that the case will be closed in 10 days and Rogers will be considered dead. Consequently, if he's kidnapped, the kidnapper will call us for ransom and we'll track him off. And if he's fooling us, he will come out to prevent the making of his death certificate and if both the things do not happen, he's dead."

"Good idea man, Good idea"

This was surely a good idea. These 10 days were very relaxed days but it was shown in the media that a huge hard-work is being done on the case. On 20 June 2013, Peter was sure that he would get the news about the rich person.

No news, no phone calls and nothing were observed on that day. Both friends waited for 5 days. Accordingly, on 26 June 2013, they officially declared that Rogers and his family were missing and dead.

Harry told Peter that they should start investigating Harry's life now but Peter was not ready to consider this result once and for all. He still knew that Rogers was living till now and the terrorist group is not coming forward in front of media.

After many days of appeals, he asked the government to start the investigation again but secretly. The government gave the friends a month and the final date of this investigation was now 30 July 2013. The case was started again. This time both the friends decided to start the questionnaire investigation. They decided to question the 3 terrorists who were caught in the mall assault. 

It was not thought that the mall attack would have much significance in this case. For the public, the last days of the case have ended but now the last days of the case have been started secretly!
