CHAPTER-17
FINDING HARRY'S ORIGIN
After Rogers was found guilty of distracting the government, helping the BPTD and kidnapping his fake family, he was sentenced to death.
Harry used his powers so many times but he never got a hint about his origin. Peter and Harry were till now trying their best to find the origin of Harry.
"A long-distance, no?", said Peter.
"Long! Really? From the main city to my home?", said Harry.
"YA!", said Peter.
"No! It's not.", said Harry.
"Your fitness is good, Rupert. Well, I am saying that we should spend today's night there only.", said Peter.
"I would be glad.", said Harry.
It was now 30 July 2013 which was to be the last day of the Rogers case. To celebrate this day both of them bought a cake. After all, they had solved the case much earlier than it was expected.
"Shall we see a movie also?", said Peter.
"Who'll give the money, Sir", said Harry.
"Don't try to troll me, Rupert. I am now a big detective. I have money to spare.", said Peter in proud.
Okay! As you wish. What is it of?"
"Investigation!!"
After the conversation, both of them decided to see that movie. The movie had different twists and turns but a good conclusion. It was the story of a boy who was murdered in his childhood. The full story went on to find the murderer.
"What's next?", said Peter.
"My case, Peter, we'll focus on that.", said Harry.
Both of them decided to switch on to Harry's case. Harry's eccentric behaviour of pains and flashbacks were becoming less time by time and according to Harry, it was good.
Well, it would be pleasurable to think of a man who woke up at a strange place, not able to recognize himself and was in pain, had reached a point of excellence where he was the leader of the army of Great Britain. The more astonishing thing was that he had done this, in not more than 5 months.
Both of them decided to start the investigation from 31 July, the very next day. The time they started the investigation, they heard a piece of news," Another boy kidnapped in Dharavi, the slum of Mumbai."
"Peter, a question. Why did the reporter use the word 'Another'?", said Harry.
"Actually, India has a high crime rate. So these incidents are common in their daily life.", said Peter.
"Really 'common'?", said Harry.
"Ya!"
"What on the earth is police doing?", said Harry.
"God Knows", said Peter.
"Can't we save those beautiful lives of the children there?", said Harry.
"How many will you save? The population there is high. Ah! This may be the reason police is not able to solve every case.", said Peter.
"At least we can save that boy.", said Harry.
"First investigate yourself, then others.", said Peter in a haughty manner.
After this conversation was over, both the friends had a debate which developed into a quarrel or so-called dispute. They did not talk to each other for hours but they finally decided to go to Harry's house. After spending hours there, Peter broke up the silence by saying," We are heading to Mumbai tomorrow."
"But why?", said Harry cheerfully.
"I wanna help those children .", said Peter(the worst lie in the worst manner).
"Really?", said Harry astonishingly and even happily.
It was sure that Peter did not want to help those children but he wanted to go for another reason. His accent justified this observation but Harry did not mind it at all because after all his choice was taken as prominent.
At midnight, with full security, they reached the Heathrow Airport (London Airport) and landed on the Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport (Mumbai Airport) after passing a day in the aeroplane.
"What's next?", said Harry.
"Dharavi.", said Peter.
The friends booked a guide who worked to guide them and also worked as a medium to conversate.
"Where to, Sir?", the guide asked.
"Dharavi", said Harry pleasantly.
The guide called a cab and told the driver the same location. The driver was astonished.
"Sir, aapko pakka Dharavi hi jaana hai na? Voh Mumbai ki chaal hai.", said the driver to alarm both the friends.
"He is saying that Dharavi is a slum of Mumbai, so you must think twice before you reach there.", said the guide.
"We will. Whatever it is and whatever it takes.", said Harry proudly.
After passing heavy traffic, both of them ultimately reached their destination. The city was beautiful which was filled with small skyscrapers, monorails and metros but the destination was peculiar for them. They felt bad for the people living there but they wanted to concentrate on the case. Police were with them to tell them the whole story. It was shocking to find out that 15 cases were filed in Police Station in the past week and there would be many more which were not filed. 'So, the group involved was not working for ransom but it was working for some other interest.'
This conclusion was not found by Peter, it was found by Harry. It clearly showed that Peter was not dedicated to this mission. Harry noticed this behaviour for a day and this demeanour of Peter was leading their friendship into a conflict!
Two days passed but Harry did not find any other conclusion because it was the work of Peter. When Harry broke control over his anger, he said, "Where are you these days, Peter? You are not with me. You have not even helped me."
"I am thinking, Rupert.", said Peter calmly.
"You think I am a fool. I am not reliant on you, I am a challenger. If you don't want to help these souls, you don't do it. I'll do it myself.", said Harry aggressively.
"You are 'reliant on' me. I am here only because of you. The thing I have seen can only be solved in this city.", said Peter while losing his temper.
"For me? How?", said Harry.
"The origin of yours lies in this city of India.", said Peter while gaining his calmness gradually.
"My past? Origin? In this city?", said Harry in confusion.
"Yes, but I won't tell you the story right now. Otherwise, you'll get diverted to find your origin and the children kidnapped would be left missing....", said Peter.
"But...? What about the suspense?", said Harry.
"What I am saying, do. Otherwise, I won't help you, neither for your origin and nor for those children", said Peter.
"Okay! Leader London kneels in front of you.", said Harry trying to understand the circumstances.
