NERVE TACKER (CH-10; THE HARD-WORK)

NERVE TACKER AND THE CHALICE OF DEMEANOURS

CHAPTER-10
THE HARD-WORK

Ramesh had developed a wonderful idea in his mind. It was all science and biology.
Well, it is a world with a blend of pure science and magic. The laws of Newton are the same here and mythology also plays a key role in the working of the world. Rogers had told Harry something that Harry was not able to believe. What was Harry doing in the midst of Ramesh's journey? The simple answer is- He was finding the demeanours but he was not successful till now.
Coming back to Ramesh, he was now immersed in his plan because he knew that his idea was possible. The only thing he needed to find was if the human body was able to take that load. Because our body would not be able to adjust to that drastic change. It was this hindrance that stopped Ramesh's plan. He needed to find the proportions that the human body was able to adjust in such conditions. If those proportions are wrong, it would lead to one's death. He did not get the right opportunities to show his talent. He had a lack of apparatus too.
Our hero was in full spirits to find this answer. One day, he was looking at Toads. He saw them playing with each other. He looked at the powers of their muscles. So, he thought that these frogs can also be used for experiments. Because, if he finds out the proportions between a frog and a human, he would be easily able to find the 'Human Climate Change Acceptance Ratio'. Well, this term was given by Ramesh. He called it as HCCAR. It was defined as the ratio that told the highest number (of his unit) at which the human body did not die under such climate changes.
He brought a baby frog from a nearby drain. He now wanted to get rid of his schools. Because the homework prevented him to concentrate on his experiments. Every holiday was used by him for these experiments only. The hard-work shown by him was incomparable. It was beyond anyone else's.
After a month, exams came and he had to remain away from his project to concentrate on the exams. He scored good marks but that did not matter to him at all because his project was still pending. Every day, he tried to create an atmosphere for the toad in which he wanted the toad to die and go at the point at which toad is dying, for at least a second. He searched on the net that toads differ the humans at the ratio of 1:3. That means that the human would be able to accept climate change being 3 times stronger than the toad. Problem solved!!
He kept the frog in the refrigerator, to see if he dies. The time he took was noted by him and he multiplied it by 3. He did the same with fire. He kept him in an unoxygenated place to see the frog. That too was multiplied by 3. It took many days for him to make some extreme atmosphere. Well, he had used many toads until now.
About a year passed since he was cracked up with that thought. It was now 2015. The hindrancet this time was to attack the nuclei of the cells and what potion should be used to increase these cells.
Well, today the date was 15 July 2015. Ramesh's Birthday! Like every year, he called some of his friends including Rajeev's son. He was very much excited this year because his mother had promised him a 'Transmission Electron Microscope'. It was a type of microscope that was used to see things as small as atoms. He wanted to see a nerve cell. It had cost an arm and a leg for his mother because she had spent more than 25,000 thousand rupees on that gift. She gifted it to him because it was the only thing that was meant for Ramesh.
The very next day, Ramesh started bringing some nerve cells from a nearby clinic. He observed them. Some were much bigger than the others. He tried to see the nucleus and he even spotted it. He tried to put the nucleus of the muscle cell in that of the nerve cell. By chance, the nucleus of one reacted with the another. It did not happen in a minute; it took several hours. He observed that the DNA of one that reacted well with each other to form a new organism type of thing. He searched about it everywhere but no photo matched with that one. It even did not seem like a satellite cell. Boom! New organism found. Ramesh fell on his chair, still not able to react. When he came back from his thoughts, he tried to study it more. That cell seemed more powerful than the others. Its cell wall was thicker than of the simple one. He waited for some other consequences. The main consequence he observed that directly affected his plan was- 'The cell did not die for days under such warm and humid conditions of Mumbai.' It was really powerful. He tried to create some more of that species and when it was enough, he brought a toad and injected some of them in his body (In the right hand). After a minute, his hand had become powerful like real iron. He did the same with his other parts of his body. It affected him severely. He jumped with high speed. He became faster. After passing many days to study it carefully, he observed that it made co-ordinations between the muscle and the nerve that directly affected the making of satellite cells. These cells made more muscle cells and therefore, it made the toad's body stronger. He brought many nerve cells and muscle cells. The quantity he injected in the toad was to be three times for him. After a couple of months, he had collected many of them and he was ready to inject them. With a sigh, he did it in a blink of an eye. All those new organisms had transferred in him. After a second, his hand had to suffer a dreadful pain. It was because he might have messed up with exact quantities. Yet a second later, his arm had developed huge muscles. His arm was all changed. He was excited. He went to his mother to tell her that his mission was successful.
"Mom! Success! See my hand.", said Ramesh while he was exhilarated.
"Oh My goodness! What happened to your arm?", said his mother while she was shouting.
"Its success. My experiment worked. It gave me pain but see my hand now."
"Pain? What if it was greater? You would've died."
"No! I didn't die. I am alive."
"You did what no one has done till the date?"
"Yes!!!!"
"I won't allow you now"
"Why? If I inject this potion in my whole body, I will become as strong as a metal. I would become faster, stronger and better."
"Your whole body? I won't accept this now. It's because of your safety. Sorry! Where's your micro..."
"Microscope?"
"The same. Bring it to me. Fast."
Ramesh thought he would be praised but the situation was different. He brought the microscope.
"Take!"
Sapna had a pan in her hand and she asked Ramesh to keep it on the kitchen slap. She disbanded it. Ramesh continuously said, "No!", but she snubbed him every time.
Looking from Sapna's view, she was right because she cannot allow her child to die as it was a dangerous experiment. He was everything she had in her life.
Consequently, Ramesh was completely disheartened and went to his room back because he needed that microscope to complete his experiment but now that was disbanded. From his view too, he is right because he had worked for years to figure this experiment out but he was not able to do it any more. Years of hard work didn't even take a second to be destructed.
What does he do after this situation? Will his hard work pay off or will he remain the same member of the slum like he was from birth?
