CHAPTER-18
CHASE FOR THE GOOD
It was from Oliver again. This time he didn't try to break the wall. Between all the people sitting there, Oliver dissolved everyone's attention. He started speaking loudly, "Oh! Harry, my brother. How have you been? You have come a long way from Cygnus. I think you found one of the demeanours."
"Yes! You're right. How is Cygnus?? And for what purpose are you here?", Harry said.
"Just to see the pitiable condition of my brother. I, still, ask you to join me. Being good gave you nothing. But I have got everything. The Royal post of being a king was the best I have got. I ask you to be bad or worse."
"Sorry, Oliver. I still don't remember my past. But I know that being good pays off in the long term. What changes did you do in Cygnus??"
"It's hell now. The only power lies with me."
"Expected...Why are you here? Of course, you have not travelled miles to have this rubbish talk."
"For that book! Mesoteph Mythology. It has hidden secrets."
"Yes, it does.", David broke into the conversation.
Oliver just whispered some things and a small portal opened near him. It opened near David's back. He passed his hand through it and stole the book from David.
"And I have it.", said Oliver.
He sat on the bike and accelerated it.
"Come, Harry! Take the other bike. Chase for the good.", said Oliver, "Let me see if you can catch me."
"I will."
Oliver just took the bike and ran. Harry sat on the other one ready to chase him. He needed that book back because if Oliver gets it, he'll be really at the extremity.
With a vrooming sound, Harry also accelerated. They both started inside the hermitage. With some space between both were able to pass their bikes from that.
"Whose bicycle is it (pointing to it)", said Ramesh.
"Mine", David replied.
"Just borrowing it."
Ramesh, too, paddled and because his limbs were faster than others, he was able to accelerate the cycle at the speed of the bike. People who were present in the hermitage had broken their meditation.
On the other hand, Harry and Oliver were chasing each other. Ramesh was also at an equal interval. They were moving with a velocity of more than 200km/h. They made sharp turns and went through narrow roads of Germany.
David was still in the hermitage, trying to control the disturbance. Ramesh, on the other side, was becoming weary. He was paddling his bike at the highest speed he was able to. Harry was about a couple of feet away from Oliver.
"I didn't know you'll be so close.", Oliver said to Harry while his voice faded by the sound of the speed of air that was being cut by the velocities of bikes.
"There are many things you don't know, Oliver", said Harry.
"I was told the same", Ramesh whispered in his own while he knew that no one would pay him a visit.
"Harry, you're still a kid. You have not visited Cygnus for about 23 years. What will you do there??"
"That's a talk that should be done later but I don't understand how did you figure out the years so easily. I thought you were an idiot."
"There are rubbish things that you think.", said Oliver while he fumbled and then he stumbled because of a stone in between.
Harry too fell after being stuck from Oliver's bike. Ramesh put brakes and was very near.
Oliver and Harry stood up quickly.
"Let's repeat this.", said Harry while he closed his fist for the iron punch.
Ramesh also brought his limbs out. Oliver was ready for a laser blast. Harry punched him directly on his face while Ramesh slew and kicked him on his back. Oliver, as a back shot, kicked Ramesh while Harry was continuously beating him. The moment Ramesh fainted, Oliver came directly to Harry. He propelled him in his stomach. The book was still in Oliver's bike. Ramesh, from the backside, tried to steal it. While Oliver did a laser blast on Harry and at the same time, Harry punched him. And the direction of his face transferred to that bike. Ramesh was near the book but at the same time, the laser blast destroyed the bike. The book was not there and Ramesh was severely wounded because of the blast.
From behind, David entered the field with the book in his hands. How did he do it? Everyone was astonished to see that man. The fight was stopped for about a second but soon Harry realised Oliver's mind was distracted. He tried to make use of it.
Harry tried to make use of Oliver's distraction. He came near Oliver and whacked him at his highest energy. Oliver fell. David came near Ramesh, who was wounded, gave him a hand to stand up.
"Where'd you come from?", Ramesh asked.
"Portal. Just said 'Berlous...Incantum...Singtem...Travilio' and came here. Stole the book and came here.", said David.
"I Thought these portals can only be opened by Cygnians.", said Ramesh.
"Who told you I am a tenant of Earth??"
Oliver stopped now. Harry, too, saw him that he's not fighting. Therefore, he resisted himself.
Oliver broke into, "He's right. He's not of Earth. He was expelled from Cygnus six months ago."
"Why??", Harry asked.
"He was trying to criticise me. I think he didn't know that there's a dictatorship on Cygnus."
"Therefore, I am here to take revenge."
"David, I understand.", said Harry.
"I, Oliver Osborn, proclaim that David of Cygnus will now not be able to make Portal nor can he walk through them.", said Oliver.
"What??"
"Yes."
Oliver took the power from David. He used it this time to steal the book again. He sat on the other bike. Then accelerated it and went. Harry took the bicycle and at his highest speed, he chased Oliver. After some time, there was no way. The road was closing itself. Oliver had no place to go. Therefore, he spoke, "Berlous...Incantum...Singtem...Travilio" and walked through the portal to Cygnus.
Harry was chasing him with his full speed and he was not able to stop. When the portal was closing, Harry went into it with the Cycle.
Ramesh and David went back to the hermitage. David was very sad. He had lost his power to open portals. Consequently, there was no one on Earth who was able to open portals now. The book had gone with the worthy. That was Oliver. Ramesh and David told everything to Peter. Peter was terrified to listen this. They kept thinking continuously but there was nothing that could satisfy them.
CYGNUS
Oliver landed in the Royal Palace. Harry landed in a freak place. He tried to come out of that. He did not know the place. It was like Earth. He came out to the streets. When he looked above, there was a big castle. Bigger than anything. It was sumptuous. Aside from the castle, there was the Royal Dining hall. Harry asked a man near him, "What kind of place is this??"
"This is Cygnus"
"What???"
"Yeah, it is. Wait a minute. Are you Harry Osborn??"
"Yes, I am."
"I shall not talk to you. I might be guillotined."
"I am famous??", Harry asked astonishingly.
"Yes, you are. After all, you're the most wanted man on Cygnus."
"Me???"
"Yes, turn back"
The man ran away and at the back, there was a poster. On that Harry's photo was pasted. Under which was written, the 'THE MOST WANTED'. Harry was really astounded to see this. He was a criminal here and why, he did not know.
Harry was stuck in a place he doesn't know. How is he going to solve this mystery and that, too, without Peter???
